Along with the satellite development, we
also provide a number of services to correctly
operate the satellites.
Ground station
Ground stations can be of two types:
- customer owned and operated ground stations.
We will provide all the necessary equipment
to establish a fully functional ground station,
to be located where the customer needs. Multiple
ground stations might be used for a single satellite
if real time imaging and communication is necessary
over a wide area
- 4C Satellites owned and operated ground stations.
4C Satellites can use its own ground stations and
sell communication services to customers. Privacy
and security are guaranteed.
Data processing
Raw data received from the satellite needs to
be processed in order to obtain useful information.
4C Satellites offers data processing services, such
that the customer does not need to cope with raw
data. This service, together with 4C Satelites-owned
and operated ground stations, allows customers
to focus on their core business, saving the expenses
needed to internally build skills to manage a
space mission.
Mission control
Satellites must be controlled in both their
orbit (position and speed) and attitude (where
they point). Periodic adjustments of the orbit
are necessary to counteract the atmospheric drag
that would otherwise slowly brake the satellite
until it would fall back on Earth. Attitude control
is necessary to meet the objectives of the mission.
Satellites also send status information about
their health and their environment. In all cases,
We can provide control services to completely
manage a satellite mission, from launch to the
end of its life.
Training
Operating a ground station, processing and interpreting
data, controlling a mission are difficult tasks
that require special training. Our facilities
allow access to customer employees in special
training sessions, where all aspects of managing
a satellite are analyzed in detail.
