'The aim of BQT Satellites is to study, develop, design, build, launch and operate small satellites'

Our Company

4C Satellites is a subsidiary of BQT Solutions Ltd. and Prime Asset Finance. It was established in 2007 to study, develop, design, build, launch and operate small satellites for research, Earth observation and surveillance in selected markets within Middle East, Asia Pacific, Africa and Latin America.

In November 2007 4C Satellites and Politecnico di Torino (one of the main engineering universities in Italy and Europe) incorporated 4C Polito Space Technology S.p.A. The new joint venture will design, build and operate high resolution real time images, low equatorial orbit (LEO) positioned satellite dedicated for earth observation and surveillance application. The satellites are equipped with Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) which enables clear imaging through cloud and night sky.

The synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images market is one with great potential that has not yet been realized.

A SAR is an active imaging system that when imaging continuously sends and receives a scattered signal from the earth’s surface. As an active imaging system, SAR does not rely on reflectance from the earth, and in doing so it has the ability to “see” at night, through clouds and in some cases vegetation.

Worldwide demand for SAR data continues to increase because SAR data is ideal for equatorial and cloud-covered regions, SAR’s enhanced capabilities give it a unique market position, demand for surveillance imagery and data is recession proof, SAR is an existing, proven technology, potential for data-derived products is applicable to many markets, existing historical data has potential commercial applications, etc.

Our satellite program involves Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) payload satellites (BP SAR) for advanced surveillance activities, as well as nano/micro satellites for scientific and commercial purposes (BP NanoSAT), and mini satellites for Ground Observation based on optical payloads (BP OpticSAT).
