OpticSAT Data facts

The satellite will have the following main characteristics:

• Low equatorial orbit, like the one above indicated for SAR satellites;
• Sun-synchronous polar or nearly polar orbit.
• High Resolution Imager

  • 8.2km swath (single picture)
  • 24km swath can be achieved using satellite agility and the ability of taking up to three photographs of adjacent areas in the same orbit.
• Medium Resolution Imager
  
  
  • 20m Ground resolution in multi-spectral mode
  • 250km swath
• The target areas can be located at an angle from -40° to 40° with respect to the vertical line connecting the satellite to Ground, giving a total accessibility swath of more than 600km.
• Mass: 200-300kg
• Service life: 5 years or more
